side sleep with nasal pillows

Post by joem18b » Sat Aug 27, 2016 2:58 pm

just starting out...

i've always preferred sleeping on my stomach. now here i am flat on my back.

I've experimented the last few nights with sleeping on my side. my events seemed to go up and air leaking into the mouth increased a little and i felt a bit like a contortionist but otherwise everything was fine.

is there any common wisdom on this subject or is it just a matter of each person experimenting to find the position most comfortable and then getting practiced at it?

thanks!

Sometimes it is finding the right pillow.
Mine is sleepguy's buckwheat and foam, sold on Amazon.
Search for cpapfit cpap pillow by Pur-sleep.

why not sleep on your stomach? just put your head off the edge so it doesn't obstruct the hose/pillows.

I have been using the buckwheat pillow for about a week, maybe two and it is definitely better for side sleeping than the other CPAP pillow I bought. It does take a bit of getting used to...it is HARD/Firm, but it contours very nicely. I never thought I would like such a firm pillow but it seems to be working well for me.
Given enough sleep....I could rule the world.

when I went to their website to research the pillow I got this message? Anybody know why it is no longer for sale?

This product is no longer available and this information is for reference only.

Kind Regards,

Which website? Which Pillow?
The buckwheat hull pillow that we all use??

https://www.amazon.com/CPAPfit-Pillow-- ... Fit+pillow

I use it and sleep probably 80% of the time on my side and I use a nasal pillow mask.
