Purchasing a travel sized auto-CPAP in NYC

Post by Aveshen Pillay » Wed Jul 13, 2016 4:27 am

Good day All

I have been recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and looking to purchase the Z1 auto-cpap machine for traveling purposes.

I am in NYC until next week Friday and would like assistance to go about this process. I am from South Africa and wanted to know what script would be required here? Would a US script be required or would a Canadian script be acceptable (as I am discussing with a doctor there).

As a final point, would it be possible to recommend other machines for travel purposes? Currently I am using the Respironics System One machine, but this is quite bulky and difficult to use when travelling.

Your kind assistance in this regard is most appreciated.

Many thanks & kind regards,
Aveshen

Hello Aveshen,

Our mini travel cpap may be of interest to you -- it's about the size of a soda can, weighs 15 ounces, provides up to 20 cmh20 air pressure and will automatically self adjust to meet your needs. Also it works with any cpap mask. We offer a 10 day risk free trial with the unit as well. If you'd like any further information or have any interest I can shoot you an email or contact you by phone just let me know.

Thanks,
Adam Christianson

Order from the hosts of this board. They will accept any valid Rx from any country as long as the Rx is in English, I understand. They should be able to rush a shipment to the address of wherever you are now in the US. And check out their full line of travel machines at cpap.com.
CPAP.COM wrote:Will you accept a prescription from a doctor in my country? "Yes. If you have a valid international prescription, upon receipt and review of the prescription, we will ship your order to any US state except Texas, or to your country of residence. If the prescription is not written in English the entire prescription must be translated into English on the original document."-- https://www.cpap.com/cpap-faq/International.html
ResMed and Respironics doesn't let them ship those brands to other countries, though, I don't think. And certain countries don't allow import of medical equipment by mail/delivery.

By the way, I am not associated with them in any way, but I have, on occasion, bought from them, just because of their providing this forum. I think my latest machine arrived to me here in Brooklyn, NY, in two days, with regular shipping, but you may want to pay for a rush.
