OptiStart feature?

Post by andy2016 » Sun Jun 26, 2016 12:04 pm

Anyone familiar with this feature? I know my machine displays it and it has to do with it recognizing your avg pressure and somehow upping the pressure after certain amount of hours. Is that right?

QUOTE....Opti-Start: Optimal pressure from the start. The Opti-Start Features starts your pressure therapy at 90% of the pressure reached in the previous session to help address any events that may occur early in your sleep therapy. If you are not satisfied with this feature you have the option to disable it.

Gee, it sounds like they've automated the settings usually advised by the experienced posters in this forum! Looks like a useful feature. Is it turned on by default? I hope so.

No. The guy at the sleep study place had to enable it.

Isn't Optistart the same as turning off the ramp?

no

optistart is supposed to remember something from the auto pressure ranges it ended up using the night before, and go back to that, instead of the normal set pressure min.

I turned on OptiStart and it does not seem to do anything. My initial pressure is the same (minimum pressure setpoint) each night. AND, there is no OptiStart indicator on the main display when running.
