iNeed new idea..lesion on cheek

Post by janglas » Mon Jun 20, 2016 8:49 am

After wearing Comfortjel mask for 14 years I am developing a irritated area on my cheek....My mask straps, headgear do not touch that spot while awake. I must be turning in my sleep and putting pressure on that area. I have used neosporin, A & D oiniment, cortrisone. Do you experienced folks have any suggestions? I have been to dematologist but she did not seem to worry about this. Of course they only take care of what you put your finger on (it seems)

While sleeping, try a piece of soft cotton with some NexCare tape to secure the cotton, see if that helps heal it. If cotton would stick to the sore you could alternately use some gauze with a plastic non-stick layer. Up to you whether you want to put ointment on it or not... I tend to not use ointment and let nature do it's thing.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I agree with covering it up; a little Neo can't hurt.
Your dermo seems to think it does not look scary, so you just need to keep it clean and covered.
