Newbie Should I buy machine online??

Post by ajtaylor72au » Thu Jun 02, 2016 5:51 am

G'day! Newly diagnosed and doing my research on the best websites to source a resmed airsense auto10, I know the machine and mask, sticking to what I used in my trial, but does anyone have any experience of 1800cpap.com or Cpap.com or Secondwind.com? prices in Australia are ridiculous , even when I add all of the equipment shipping and customs fees its still $1000 cheaper!!! Any feedback on the reliability of these websites would be most welcome , thanks

Cpap.com sponsors this forum, and we think they're terrific. Secondwindcpap.com is also terrific. I never heard of 1800... whatever.

If you are wanting a ResMed or Phillips Respironics machine....cpap.com can't ship those brands to you.
Manufacturer restrictions.

I would suggest secondwindcpap.com. I have used them for a humidifier but more importantly I know probably at least a dozen people internationally that have used them for machines and all were quite satisfied. They will ship anything to Australia directly to you..no need to worry about brand or manufacturer restrictions and they routinely ship internationally.

I don't know anything about 1800 cpap to say one way or the other.

I was in your shoes few weeks back. Machine prices in Manila are ridiculous and that's an understatement.

For the price of an entry level non-auto Respironics in Manila, I can get an auto machine + a travel machine, with so much change to boot.

Thus, I bit the bullet and got machines from CONUS. I got a 560 Respironics and an APEX travel machine. Since most of the online sellers won't ship to Manila directly, I had it shipped to a relative in CONUS and had him ship them to Manila. I'm expecting my Apex to arrive tomorrow while the Respironics 7 days from now.

Good luck.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

Had a great experience with http://www.thecpapshop.com/. My insurance even ended up covering the machine.

They are indeed awesome but ResMed and Respironics won't allow them to ship anything with ResMed or Respironics brand name on it outside the US. Not even a measly little nasal pillow for the P10.

Not their fault; but re-mailing can get around that.

I'm in Australia and bought my Airsense, mask etc from 1800cpap.com. Like you it was over $1000 cheaper than buying locally. I was nervous making the purchase from o/s but all was fine. Was going to use cpap.com but they couldn't ship to Oz.
