I consistently pull off my mask so I do not get a full night's sleep on the CPAP machine. I believe that I pull off the mask while I am asleep. How do I change a behavior that I do not know that I am doing (while I am asleep)?
I am a newbie.

Re: Unknowingly pull off mask
My first inclination is to suggest you use tape or a band-aid style bandage to tape the strap of the mask to your cheek. Hopefully the discomfort of removal will wake you enough to realize what your are doing and stop. That said, I notice you've been at this for for several months. Generally most (?) acclimate to the new sensations in a few weeks. Can't help but wonder if something is going on with your treatment causing you to feel the need to remove your mask. Something like either mask leaks or inadequate pressure. If you have a machine that provides treatment data, that might help you pinpoint if there's a problem you could address to make it easier to keep your mask on.

Re: Unknowingly pull off mask
I have (hopefully "had") this problem. For some reason, I subconsciously remove my mask around 430 to 530 in the morning. Apparently it happens so quickly that I don't notice it.
For the last few times, my wife just holds on to my arm for a few seconds until I stop or fall into deep sleep again.
