New CPAP user Airsense 10 Autoset and Dreamwear nasal pillow

Post by stevedev » Thu May 19, 2016 5:46 pm

Greets all.
I'm new to the CPAP world. So far having a "decent" experience with the dreamwear nasal pillow from Philips Respironics and the Airsense 10 Autoset from Resmed. I had a long journey at first trying a dental appliance (silent nite slide-link) that did nothing but cause me pain (even on lowest setting). Stopped that thing and have embraced the full Darth Vader approach. I didn't want to end up with TMJ, etc. Charging into CPAP land -- First night was rough as I didn't have the mask on right.. it would wake me up blasting me with Air. Display said no leaks, but come to find out I just didn't have it snug enough. Last night was much better!

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. Side sleeper that tested at 24/25 apneas an hour and begain my adventure back in November 2015. Looking forward to true sleep.

-Steve

Welcome to the forum. Don't be afraid to ask questions. We all want to make our treatment as good as possible. The first thing I would recommend is to read Pugsy's pointers at the top of the page. You will gain a lot of information there.
