Update: VA just provided me my first CPAP

Post by MattR1Rider » Wed May 18, 2016 2:06 pm

I posted a few weeks ago telling my story of going through the VA for my OSA.

I am happy to say that just today I picked up my first CPAP, after being diagnosed almost 9 years ago, while still in.

It is a Phillips Respironics REMstar Pro C-flex with a System One Heated humidifier.

I was so excited that I took a half hour nap with it the moment I got home.

Congrats, tho I'm a little surprised you didn't get a newer model, but that's a great machine anyway. Maybe they bought up a bunch of them in a fire sale

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Can't really complain. The process was easy for me, and I am happy to get started. I wish I had some of the newer things like bluetooth, but I will live with it.

I have that same machine, only mine is an A-flex
Also VA issued..... hey you said diagnosed 9 years ago while in... did you get this service connected? Mine is. If not, you should pursue it. Why did it take so many years for your to get a cpap? It took me a couple after initial diagnosis in 99, I never got a machine till 2002.
