I'm perplexed. I was originally diagnosed with severe obstructive SA and the original pressure on cpap was 16cm. I recently had an overnight sleep study and my Doctor decided to change from cpap to a Respironics Bipap SV . I wonder if I'm on correct machine for my type of Apnea? I posted a couple of images from my first night with my new SV machine(doctor settings) and last nights settings(my own settings) Why was I prescribed a cpap machine in the first place? I have zero obstructive apneas.

Get a copy of the recent sleep study and it should explain why the need for this machine.
The fact that you aren't showing any OAs on these reports...doesn't mean you wouldn't be having them if you weren't using this machine.
This type of machine is commonly used when people have either central sleep apnea or a combination of central sleep apnea and obstructive sleep apnea...it's treats both kinds.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.
