AVAPS respironics display screen

Post by JayTee » Fri May 13, 2016 2:32 pm

Have Philips BiPAP AVAPS Respironics System One C series machine that displayed: days>4 hrs, Large Leak, AHI, Periodic breathing, and 90% pressure UNTIL an RT changed something in the machine so that data was no longer displayed. Other RTs have been unable to restore machine to original display of data; 1st RT says she didn't do anything. In provider mode setup screen, I can change many settings but am still unable to view AHI, etc. Anyone know how to get machine to once again display the data? or how to get a program that will read the SD card? Need EncoreAnywhere - version 2.29.3.3 Will appreciate any help; this is so frustrating.

Hi JayTee.

Is there an item in the clinical setup labeled:

• Show AHI/leak/PB - You can select whether or not the Apnea/Hypopnea index, System Leak averages, and Periodic Breathing averages are displayed on the Patient Info screens.

If there is, is it "ON" or "OFF"?

I don't have the manual for that machine, but do have them for the 50 and 60 Series APAP/CPAP machines.

Another thing I'd recommend doing is to go into the setup and ( with pad and pen/pencil ) write down EVERY setting category and options available and their settings as you go through the menu.

I believe Encore Pro or Encore Basic will work with that machine.
If you go here and register there is a page that explains how to get the software but you have to be a logged on forum member to access it.

Wulfman already gave you instructions on where to make the change to "Show AHI" and your data should be back on the LCD screen.
If you don't know how to get to the clinical menu setup area to make that change....this explains how.

No, there is no place in the setup menu where I may choose AHI or hypopnea index, or 90% pressure, or periodic breathing. I have gone thru the entire setup menu several times and written down EVERY setting category, options available and their settings. Have no trouble getting into the clinical setup menu. In the user manual (not the clinician/provider manual), it states that the AHI, etc will show on display screen only if the phone-in compliance option is enabled. Now have taken the machine to Apria, where they were not able to help restore the settings & were unable to find a way to enable phone-in compliance. There is no place in the menu for this AVAPS to enable it. (This option is easily enabled from the menu on my old BiPAP). I cannot use the BiPAP as I need the ventilator capability of the AVAPS. I have EncoreViewer 2.2, but this new machine does not work with it. Am a member of apneaboard.com & requested info, but they sent only instructions for getting into the clinical setup menu -- will try them again. Tried Respironics program DreamMapper, which also does not work with the AVAPS. Reported this to the company, they said, yes ypu're correct, DreamMapper does not work w/the AVAPS. Am most frustrated.

Does that machine have the SD card? ( It's a System One, right? )
If so.......
Did you try taking the SD card out of the machine when you went into the setup?
I'm wondering if there's something on the card that makes your settings unchangeable with the card in the machine.

Just tried all the menu settings & the info screen without the SD card in the machine. Sadly, it made no difference.
