Buying Replacement Parts

Post by Shinino » Fri May 13, 2016 6:08 am

It's about time for me to buy a new pillow for my mask (and maybe new straps, not sure) -- I'm just trying to figure out the best place to get these for the best value. I'm looking on eBay right now, but wanted to ping people here -- ideas?

You mean so I can pay 3x what I'd be paying elsewhere?

Thank you for the attack, but no. I do.

I looked on eBay and am finding cushions for my mask at the $30-50 range. I look on here and it's $150. Thanks for not helping, though. It's not appreciated at all.

So you are comparing someone selling privately like e-bay and craigslist to a retailer? I stand by what I said before.

The AirFit F10 cushion on this site is $54 and is the same at most sites, Amazon has quite a few at $54 as well some in the high $40's. Also doesn't hurt to support those who offer us this amazing forum. I didn't look at eBay because I just don't shop there.

The $150 is for the entire complete mask package and not just the cushion so you aren't comparing exact item.

The complete mask...headgear, cushion is $149 and ResMed dictates the price and won't allow discounting of any ResMed product.

Now the cushion can be bought separately for $54 and again ResMed dictates the price
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -mask.html

ResMed can't control EBay sellers (but they have tried) so that's why a little less expensive on EBay.

Retailers like cpap.com have to sign a contract to adhere to the dictated prices or they can't buy/sell the ResMed products.

So cpap.com isn't far off from some EBay sellers (I often see products listed on EBay for the suggested retail per the manufacturer) and some products there is a significant difference.

All that said...I have used EBay often when the savings is significant.

Our sponsor's prices are very competitive,
And always new and in original packaging.
This may not be the case elsewhere.
Just saying.

Well, you asked......and then got answers......but didn't like them because YOU weren't comparing apples to apples. Then got nasty with the people who DID respond to your initial post. < shrugs >

We TRY to be nice to people who post on the forum, but it's examples like this one which make it difficult.
And, then we get accused of being nasty and "attacking" people.
