Hearing aids
I went hearing aid, Phonex but I am not sure how hearing aids relate to CPAP? What am I missing in this thread.

Re: Hearing aids
OT means off topic.
A lot of us hoseheads are old PHARTS. As such our ability to sleep and breathe at the same time is not our only disfunction.
Hearing aids comes up from time to time as well as aches and pains. So does the surgery dujur. How about Windows 10?

Re: Hearing aids
Hearing aid is just one more thing to take care of when getting ready for bed.
(---take pills, shot, etc., remove/clean hearing aid, put into HA conditioner, fill humidifier tank, mask up, sleep)
One more thing and I may need a pre-flight check list.

Re: Hearing aids
Tell me about it CF... I remember back in the day when getting ready for sleep meant brushing my teeth. <sigh> There was a thread years ago where people listed what they did to prepare for bed; it was amazing!chunkyfrog wrote:Hearing aid is just one more thing to take care of when getting ready for bed.

Search in the search box under the CPAPtalk logo for hearing aids if that is indeed what you want. I couldn't tell what you meant either.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Re: Hearing aids
People with sleep apnea are at risk for many things UNLESS they are using cpap and treating their sleep apnea. Then, the risk for such conditions drops dramatically. I say this as a 77 year old who has used cpap for 14 years. I have other health issues that I had long before I started using a cpap. Of course, they did not go away when I started on cpap but, since I get more restorative sleep, these issues are easier to deal with. That is a fact.

Re: Hearing aids
Gradual hearing loss is normal as we age. My wife blames her hearing loss on my sleep apnea... Thought I had hearing loss.

Re: Hearing aids
Improve hearing LOSS? I think you probably mean improve hearing
.

Re: Hearing aids
I think that the answer the OP wants is about turning off (or removing) the hearing aid when CPAP is engaged.
If it bothers you, then turn it off and/or remove it. Otherwise, do as you please.

Re: Hearing aids
You don't sleep with hearing aids......How do you know what the OP means?

Re: Hearing aids
Is the OP, in fact the original OP?
If a spam post appears from a dealer, and it was answered;
but the original spam was deleted, the second poster becomes the new OP of record.
This happened two years ago . . .
