EncorePro and SQL Server Express

Post by cwsanfor » Sat Jul 15, 2006 6:23 am

Has anyone using EncorePro tried upgrading to SQL Server Express 2005 or SQL Server 2005?

I was concerned about trashing my current SQL Server 2000 installation.

Ping Derek...

While not exactly matching your question, we do use MSDE at work, and have installed SQL Server 2000 both before and after an MSDE installation with no ill effects. I believe one person has installed 2005 without any trashing of the MSDE setup. This might be relevant because MSDE is the DB used by Encore Pro. Sounds like you already knew this, just added that for the benefit of others.
