O2 converters

Post by ablong » Thu May 05, 2016 5:56 pm

I have OSA and have been using a Tank BI-pap with 2.5 lt of o2.
The bipap has 26000 plus Hrs on and is making bearing noise and bugging my wife. I took it out of service and started back to using a tank cpap auto to sleep with
I had bought a oxygen concentrator in 2010 and it has 20100 hrs and has craped out. I wonder if the power switching during storms is the culprit.
My question is does anyone know where to get the concentrator repaired at a reasonable cost and if possible have new bearing put in the Bi-Pap.
thanks for any info.

Sounds like you got the meat out of both of them. Be careful repairing old tech! The compressor will use more electric than a new one, but the quality and lifetime will likely be a shorter. All things in life have tradeoffs. Jim
