What do I need to connect the ResMed sa8 autosite to my computer .
It has a card with it but I have not used it yet of coarse.
I probably will buy this machine and would like to be able to connect it to my computer ,is it easy to do for a computer dummy, and what sort of info will I get from it ,I already have the LED readout every morning .
Thanks Guys regards Jacko

Ask GoofyUT or Chuck, I think all you need is a Compact Flash card reader like for a digital camera and you can get reports on your computer using just Excel.

I think Chuck imports the raw data and massages it with the Excel.

The old Spirit had a RS-232 port on the back and you used a female-to-female db-9 serial cable.

I have the ResMed S8 autoset vantage. The data card that came with it can NOT be used with a compact flash card reader. As a matter of fact, I'm quite certain that none of the more common card readers ( such as the ones used with digital camera memory cards ) will work. The data card requires a reader designed specifically for that type of card ( of course ). I would be interested in finding out how I can obtain such a reader. Tried eBay and didn't see one. Anyone have any suggestions?

You need the Autoscan 5.7 software available from cpap.com installed on your PC and the Resmed card reader.
