portable cpap vs batteries for travel

Hi. I am going to africa this summer for 2 weeks and the places i'll be staying run on generators which shut off at 11pm. I am trying to figure out whether to buy a small portable cpap or a battery to keep my regular model charged (res med air10 with nasal pillows). I've scoured the forums and am trying to get reliable info on portable units and also which battery lasts the longest. Another restriction will be the size and weight of my equipment. The planes are reportedly strict about luggage weight and size I need to keep things light/small. Thanks.

My travel machine has a battery for whenever I need it. When fully charged, the battery gives me at least 12 hours of service. As long as it can be recharged during the day, nights are no problem. The machine I use is no longer made, but there are newer, smaller, lighter versions these days....
