Hey fellas,

So my dad finally got a new mask, the Quattro FX, but he is having a hard time with it.
The pattern seems to be that first hour or so of sleep is littered with events.
In general, when you move from a nasal mask to a full face mask, do you need higher pressures or lower? He is very afraid at this point of pressures getting too high, because of that first night you can see in the imgur album, but I am almost certain he needs higher than what he has right now.
I believe this is because the pressure is too low. I believe I should try raising the pressure, but my dad feels that raising the pressure will cause the mask to leak. We got the Large mask, and we are thinking he may need the medium instead, or switch back to a nasal style mask.
We are currently using an epapmin of 7, with an ipapmax of 12.
Thank you!!

You don't need to change the pressure. Just change the mask type to full face mask on the machine, and it will make the required compensations. It will determine the allowable leak amount for a full face mask, and let you know if the leakage is too high (red frown face) when you do a mask fit check.
