Logging in

Post by Hawthorne - Pepper » Fri Mar 18, 2016 6:16 am

I have not been able to log in for quite some time. I cleaned things up on my computer and all my automatic signins were gone. This has happened before and I could just login - not so this time. I have connected the forum adminisrator several times - to no avail!
I only have one email address and don't want to get one of the free ones in addition..
Anyone help?

Are you sure you're using the right user name? I see you've used Hawthorne- Pepper, Hawthorne - Pepper, Hawhtorne- Pepper, and Pepper - Hawthorne just recently.
I do see a valid member user name of simply Hawthorne.

Have you tried to re-register?

I used "Hawthorne-Pepper", because it will not accept "Hawthorne", which has been my username since I joined the forum several years ago.

I will try re-registering but expect I will get a message say that this email address is already registered. I only have1 email address and don't want to get another one.

Julie - just as I suspected - I get a message that his email address is already in use.

Yes, LSAT, that's correct. I have no idea why I can't login and got no reply after contacting Forum Admin 3 times!

Just to be clear. Are you trying to log in with the user name Hawthorne (correct) or Hawthorn-Pepper (incorrect)?

Have you tried clearing out your (depending on what browser you're using) "Temporary Internet Files" and "Cookies"?

That was a problem at various times in the past.

Regarding your email, you would need to have a separate/different email address for each username/identity you have.
So, that's why they said your email address is already in use.

Instead of putting a burden on very limited admin resources, you should go to the login screen and click on "I forgot my username or password" and entire the required info. The system will email to you the password. This requires no admin resources.

Granny, Some days I think you are the only person around here with a brain. Good job.
