The Bridge of Nose Bruising

Post by Rube8514 » Mon Mar 14, 2016 5:16 am

Hey All,

I have been wearing the FFM for about 4 days now and the bridge of my nose is bruised and red! It doesn't go away. I look horrible! The top of my mask where it is supposed to be cushioning my forehead is also getting bruised and breaking out with acne because of it. I REALLY want to continue wearing the equipment, but I am just being honest, if I continue to look horrible without the bruising and redness going down, I will have to stop wearing them. Has anyone else been having these issues? I saw something on another forum about moleskin or something? I'm just new to all this and not sure where to start without calling the equipment place where I got it all. PLEASE HELP!

Why don't you start by telling us what mask is giving you all these problems. You can list your equipment in the control Panel where you registered.

Most likely the forehead strap is too tight and you may need a nose pad.

Those 'gel' masks are problematic in so many ways. Not to mention, pretty heavy by today's standards. Try the ResMed F10 full face mask. There's a template on ResMed website you can print out that will help you determine size. S-M-L

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
