Return of symptoms

Return of symptoms
I have hypopnea and use my CPAP religiously. My pressure was 8, raised to 11 in October. My symptoms were headaches that were relieved with the CPAP. I am now back to waking up with a headache, that gets better once I start to breath deeply. It is around 3 am when this happens. I then fall back asleep and wake up at my normal time with the same headache, but worse. It is mostly relieved my breathing deeply. I can not get into my provider until end of April. I was considering raising my pressure to see how I do. What do you all think?
Thanks so much for any suggestions,
Kay

Re: Return of symptoms
Check your data with sleephead software assuming you have a machine which saves the data, but since you don't provide ANY information on the machine you are using or which mask we can't really help you.

Re: Return of symptoms
My apologies. I'm using a Phillips Respironics System One. My mask is the Resmed Airfit F10 for her.
I have a Mac and am not sure how to check the software.
Thanks for being patient,
Kay

Re: Return of symptoms
Download the software from here. I am on a MAC and it was developed I believe on a MAC http://www.sleepfiles.com/SH2/. You need an SD card on your machine. Did yours come with one? My Respironics did. My MAC laptop has a slot on the right side the card fits in. So after you get the program and open it insert your card and on the main "WELCOME" page click on the icon that says "CPAP SD importer." At that point you need to come back here to learn to take screen shots and to upload them.

Re: Return of symptoms
Hi, I strongly suggest you see your doctor and ask for a cardiac check-up regardless of Cpap. We all get older, develop new 'conditions' and need to be seen on occasion. Headaches, especially if relieved by deep breathing, can signal potential cardiac problems and while everything might be fine, why not get looked at if you haven't done so lately. Cpap can help normalize damage done by OSA, but it's not a magic bullet that will forever protect you from other events.

New symptoms can disguise themselves as the return of "old symptoms".
Yes, look at the data from your machine. But also work with your PCP (not just your sleep doc) and ask about getting your heart checked out.

Re: Return of symptoms
Thank you all. I have seen a cardiologist and all is well. I have downloaded my info and it actually looks good. This is the bit that it said:
The last time you used your Philips Respironics RemStar Pro with C-Flex+...
was last night (on March 11, 2016)
You had an AHI of 0.95, which is considered pretty darn good
You machine was on for 10 hours, 30 minutes and 22 seconds.
You had a small but acceptable amount of major mask leakage.
Your CPAP machine blasted you with a constant 11cmH2O of air
I will learn how to do screenshots.

Re: Return of symptoms
I agree with a follow up with your doc.
To post your pictures requires a 2 part process (1) in the Sleepyhead program and (2) set up an http://imgur.com account.
While looking at your data in the program use the green pin to order your graphs 1st "Flow Rate, Pressure, Leak Rate."
Step 1: Now up in the bar with the apple go to "View" and "Toggle Full Screen" once in full screen go to "View" again and click on "Take Screenshot."
Step 2: go to your imgur page and where your screen name is click on it and the click on "Images." Once the page loads at the top in the middle it will say "upload images." Follow those direction. Then come back here and write you post.
To attach your pictures to your post go back to imgur and click on your picture. On the right it will give you a bunch of codes. The last 1 or 2 codes on the right work. I think they have BBB in them as part of their title. Also make the picture large. The large option is where they have the code that you copy paste on the right.
I hope that explanation is clearer than mud...

Re: Return of symptoms
I can get all the way to downloading my screen shots and I get this:
Oh no! We encountered an error:
Screenshot: Image format not supported, or image is corrupt.

Re: Return of symptoms
I'm stuck trying to post the pictures here. I've used the last 2 links and and attempted copy and paste, that doesn't work.

Try:
Now if you haven't downloaded Sleepyhead yet I think this would be a good time to take a look at your data to see if there are clues there. Here is a link to tell you how to download. https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead
After you have downloaded Sleepyhead and have some data here is how to share it on the forum. https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize There are 3 pages showing you how to organize your graphs, take a screenshot, and post it using Imgur, so at the bottom of each page click to go to the next one.
[At the bottom of the page click into the new link to find page 2, then page 3.]
