Sleeping position affects CPAP treatment

Post by Magicdave » Fri Mar 04, 2016 7:50 pm

Has anyone else noticed that your sleeping position affects your CPAP treatment ? I've found that sleeping on my right side my AHI scores are consistently below 2, but sleeping on my left side they can be much higher -sometimes into double figures. It's apparently because your sinuses are not symmetrical, so behave differently depending on head position. So, if you're having trouble with high AHI scores, just try turning over - it could make a huge difference.
