New from St Louis -- Need tips from Simplus mask users
I've been using the CPAP for a little over week. I have an F&P Simplus mask and never received printed instructions when I was fitted with it. Although I have been sleeping better I'm having a heck of a time getting the mask on right. It either leaks air or I get it too tight and have marks all over my face when I wake up. I know it takes time to learn something new like this, but any advise from you old pro's would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

you can find the manuals for most any mask by googling for 'mask name manual'.bobn1955 wrote:I've been using the CPAP for a little over week. Straps can leave marks on our face even when they are not to tight. I have them especially on the side I sleep on. I use PadaCheek http://padacheek.com/ strap covers that decrease the marks but it still takes about an hour for them to go away.bobn1955 wrote:It either leaks air or I get it too tight and have marks all over my face when I wake up.

Thank you for your reply's. I've already seen the videos and printed the manual the best I could ( it seems like it's 100 languages). I wes hoping from tips from actual users of the Simplus mask.

You might put that in your thread. Need tips from Simplus mask users. That way it might catch their eyes.

Re: New from St Louis -- Need tips from Simplus mask users
Welcome to the forum....I am also new to cpap but have been using it for a month now. I use the Simplus mask also. I have found that having it too tight actually causes more leaks, (at least for me it does). If I make sure the strap that goes across the top of my head is tightened first, then proceed to the one across my forehead and just "snug it up" and then proceed to the bottom straps and do the same. Of course do this while laying down (you will be surprised how much your face changes shape between laying down and standing up!) I typically don't get leaks when I do it that way. I also found that I was having a small leak across the bridge of my nose, so I started putting a Band-Aid across the area which helped to create a better seal. Maybe some of these ideas will help you also. Good luck! And it may be that the Simplus just isn't the mask for you....

Hi bobin1955. You'll get 69 pages of hits from the search window just below the CPAPtalk logo... just type in F&P Simplus. There's bound to be a few tips in there - that mask has been around for awhile

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

How do you like the AirFit™ F10 Full Face Mask with Headgear? Mark I'm going for a refit Thursday afternoon and may purchase a new mask. Then with two I'll have something to fall back on if I break one.
