Someone here might know how to set the clock properly for you, but if not, maybe the DME might help... have you asked? Or called Resmed to ask?

Re: please help
The therapy meter breaks at noon. Your total daily hours will be correct, but your particular sleep schedule gets broken into two days. If you are required to demonstrate compliance, be sure to explain this to your DME, but the total usage hours per day will be correct on average. As far as I know there is no way to change how the therapy session is recorded into two days instead of one, but someone may know differently.

Re: please help
Most all CPAP machines (by default) consider a "day" as from Noon (first day) to Noon (next day). Everything between those times counts towards the day's total compliance hours.psantiago wrote:hi everyone ......i'm a newwbie and i just wanna ask a question.........i work nights and i have been using my machine (DreamStation Series Heated Humidifier) every morning when i get home at 7am whats happening is if i sleep from 730 am to 330 pm = 8 hours the machine is saying 3 1/2 hours of sleep time is there a time shift as in like midnight starts a new day on our clocks but the machine considers a new day at 12pm since most people sleep at night.......i dont know what to do and i dont want my medical ins or the medical company to think im not using the machine the recamended 4 hours per day......please help........ i also had this same issuse with resmed 10 and thought it was broken and sent it back
What software are you using? Some of them can be adjusted for different usage hours.
But, even if it's split like you mentioned, the next day will have accumulated hours that should add together for your compliance hours.

Re: please help
Your machine will show all your hours. It will just be broken into 2 separate sessions in 24 hours. With this example you will have 3 1/2 hours one afternoon plus 4 1/2 hours the next morning equal 8 hours in 24 hours. The compliance hours will still show 8 hours in 24 hours. If you get Sleepyhead computer software then you can see that. I wouldn't worry about setting the clock different it will all add up.psantiago wrote:if i sleep from 730 am to 330 pm = 8 hours the machine is saying 3 1/2 hours of sleep time

dreamstation = respironics, not resmed, and you can't set the clock on respironics machines.Julie wrote:Someone here might know how to set the clock properly for you, but if not, maybe the DME might help... have you asked? Or called Resmed to ask?

Re: please help
True you can't set the internal clock... but the Dreamstation can be set at 30 minute increments for local time zone setting.

which is kinda weird... instead of letting you set the clock, which drifts, unless they're doing some correction off the cell network now...Blizardj wrote:True you can't set the internal clock... but the Dreamstation can be set at 30 minute increments for local time zone setting.
extra credit, why can you set the time zone in half hour increments?

Re: please help
It does say this in the user manual. Seems strange it's not in 1 hr increments.palerider wrote:which is kinda weird... instead of letting you set the clock, which drifts, unless they're doing some correction off the cell network now...Blizardj wrote:True you can't set the internal clock... but the Dreamstation can be set at 30 minute increments for local time zone setting.

Allows you to adjust the time. The default setting is Greenwich Mean Time, but you may adjust the time in 30 minute increments to match your local time zone.
Note: This time setting is not displayed as a clock function on the device. It is only used to align your therapy data Ior your Provider's data reports.
