Setting up Humidifier (first time) S9 AutoSet

Post by fdw » Thu Feb 25, 2016 3:10 pm

Setting up humidifier for the first time and wanted to get some assistance with the settings.

REMEMBER THIS IS MY FIRST SETUP AND USING ON THE S9 AutoSet

1. How to adjust the amount of humidity I get....I don't want to get flooded or rainout?
2. At what temperature do I set....1 I assume is the lowest and 6 is the highest, don't know?
3. How much water do I add to the reservoir per night?

4. How often do I need to clean the reservoir?

Any tip or tricks??

Thanks a lot

I set my temp to 75-76 right now, any hotter and I feel like I'm in a humid rainforest. My tank has a fill line, does yours not have that? I fill it just a little below the line and have never run out of water. My bedroom is probably only about 66-67 degrees. No rainout, but I have a heated tube and cover also.

Yep. What were you doing before with your older machine? If you don't know what to do now, set it at mid range - 3 or so.

To start, fill it to the max fill line. Later if you find you are not using much water, you can change what you do.

Personal preference. If you use distilled water, it should take a very long time to need cleaning.

you have to adjust it to whatever amount you need, it's very individual.

higher numbers are more.

when you attach a climateline (heated) hose, then the menus change, and you can set the hose temp.

Sounds like you can use the Clinical Manual. The temps are in centigrade so you might have to do some calculating. http://www.resmed.com/ja-jp/dam/documen ... ow_eng.pdf
