What humidifying level do you have it on? You said the pressure was set at 2? Did you mean your humidifier is set at 2?

Hi, it's possible your machine isn't using any water because the local climate is already humid and therefore the machine feels there would be no point in adding more. However, if you feel you need more humidity, and can't get it, then you may have a problem, but without having more to go on, it's hard to advise. You need to know the full name and model numbers of all your equipment. Your Cpap unfortunately is not one that will give you much useful feedback on what's happening (with Cpap overnight, not about humidity) even with the right software. The mask should have a name and size somewhere on e.g. the side of the plastic. Do you have the box it came in? But in any case, the mask has no bearing on humidity. SO, if you believe you are missing humidity and the climate is not a factor, can you go to the dealer who supplied the machine and ask them about it? We'll try to help if we can however... others will be here in a while. I don't quite understand however, when you say your pressure is 2, it's too low for a Cpap prescription pressure... do you mean you set the humidifier at 2?

My humidifier level is 2. I've tried 3. I ended up waking up 4:00 am in the morning, with a water fall throat, and a raped nasal. This happened 6 times the first 2 months I'm using my Cpap

One thing you should do is have the machine at a lower level than yourself... water can't run uphill after all. Just set it on a table lower by a few inches.

Because when you turn up the humidifier number, you described a term called rainout. Rainout is when the water vapor condenses either in the mask or in the hose. Then the water will run into the mask. If the machine is lower than the mask or bed, the water will run back into the machine and not into your mask (this is why Julie said "water can't run up hill"). See if this helps, especially if you crank up the humidity level.

Manila is very humid....Your machine knows that and based on the setting you have, you don't need additional moisture. That's why your CPAP is not using water.

There isn't a humidity or air temp sensor in the Remstar M series, just a dial that adjusts the heater level. Depending on the ambient temperature and relative humidity in the room, the humidifier setting he is using isn't able to add any moisture to the air, so the tank level doesn't go down.

It is just basic Psychrometrics. Yeah bitch...science!

It could be as simple as a short to the heat plate, Mr. Science.
