Where might I find out which machines have worked best for which people?
Thank you

Hi, there are really only a couple of brands that are far and away more popular and well thought of than most others combined, but even they come in a few different configurations depending on whether you have 'just plain obstructive apnea' for which a certain pressure (or pressures) were prescribed that stay below a certain level above which a slightly different model would be a better fit, or whether you have a lot of central or complex apnea on sleep study, in which case another type of machine would be best, again though similar to the others. You can go on Cpap.com and see what's available - they have the most choice, best prices and lots of info on all, with reviews good and bad, plus pix, etc.
Do you have any info on your diagnosis and prescription - they would point us to the most appropriate equipment for you to look at...
Do you have decent insurance or are you paying on your own?
And of course if you read postings here and look under everyone's notes at the blue writing listing equipment, you'll get a pretty good consensus of what's used most.

Re: New member product guide
not sure why anyone is beating around the bush.
Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset (+/- for Her) or Respironics Dreamstation Auto
IMHO, I would not waste my time with anything else.
granted the above is if we are talking about CPAP. can substitute in respective models for bilevel, asv, etc.

At the present time, I would go with the ResMed machine because SleepyHead software is not quite ready for Dreamstation.
