What do I do with machine when going to bathroom
What do I do with machine when going to bathroom
Do I shut if off? If so what happens to my RESMED sleep report< Does the machine know that if it is turned off for a a couple of minutes that it's still the same session?

Turn it off. Yes it will continue to record data after you turn it back on.

Get a loooong extension cord...
I take off my mask and the machine shuts down, and starts up again when I put the mask back on.

Re: What do I do with machine when going to bathroom
I am assuming you have an Airsense 10. When you take the mask off or unplug it from the hose, the machine stops. If you have a spouse, you must push the button on top to shut it off so that you don't wake him/her before removing/unhooking the mask. If you like warm air, I recommend holding the button on top for 3 seconds to put it into power save mode. This will shut off the cool down cycle. Just push the button once when you get back to turn the machine back on, and once again to start the air (or use the smart start instead of the second button press).
The machine will record a second (and third, and fourth) session. This gets conglomerated into your daily report. You won't score 100 because you took your mask off twice (once in the middle of the night, and once when you wake up). I have never scored higher than 99, but it is my goal to score 100 once, and then stop looking at my air scores. They are pretty useless anyway.

Super. Thanks for the very useful info. Yes I do have the Airsense 10.

I shutdown the machine, and unhook the hose. If my face itches or I need a break from the mask, I'll take the mask off. Other wise, I leave the mask on and go take care of bitness'.

Just don't take it into the bathroom with you.
