The other day I packed my S9, H5i humidifier, and brick, each in its own large ziplock bag, and put them in my backpack for a road trip. My usual routine. Upon arriving at my destination, I realized that, for the first time in all these years, I had neglected to empty the water chamber before packing the H5i. I don't think the electronics in the humidifier would have been salvageable, but I know I gave them the kiss of death by trying out the machine while it was still wet. Fortunately, separate bagging saved the main part of my S9.
That's when I realized my Climateline hose was not designed to fit the opening of the S9, and for good reason, since there is no temperature variation to control. However, the other end of the hose did fit into the machine, and the short hose of my Swift Fx fit perfectly into the large end of the Climateline that has the orange plastic on it. No air leak, to my relief. I'm waiting for my new humidifier to arrive, breathing surprisingly well without it for now, and getting slightly better Leak number than I usually do. Just thought I'd pass along the story of my misadventure in case it's news to anyone, as it was to me, that the Climateline, used backwards, functions with the S9 in this way, a fact which meant I could have uninterrupted therapy.

Well, that's certainly some CPAP trivia you've just discovered, however it's bound to help somebody out in a pinch one of these days

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
