Perfection
Well i switched back to APAP with a range of 8 t0 14. When I woke up this morning I had a bit of a surprise. I have found my perfect cpap pressure that allows me to have 0 events per hour and therefore 0.0 ahi. WOOT fixed pressure 10 here i come.

Congrats Shadow, well done. But a word... don't expect a 00 ahi each and every night, it won't happen, as long as you can stay below five you will be good. I get 00s maybe twice a week and 0.1 or 0.2 most nights and I have been at this for over 5 yearsshadowfx78 wrote:Well i switched back to APAP with a range of 8 t0 14. Again Congrats

if mine's much over 2, I can feel it, 5 may be "treated" in the eyes of the medical field, but it doesn't work for me, that's averaging some disturbance every 12 minutes, all night long *blech*nanwilson wrote: as long as you can stay below five you will be good.

My doctor told me getting reliably below 6.0 was acceptable. :0/

Re: Perfection
Most of us expect a little more; maybe because we KNOW our numbers.
If mine gets above 1, I'm like, "huh? I don't feel that bad!"

Re: Perfection
Every time I see a post acknowledging that an AHI below 5 is not good I wonder how many people out there are not treated because of that magic number 5! I was at 4.4 (untreated) and felt terrible. Maybe people should ignore insurance companies. Units don't have to be expensive!palerider wrote:if mine's much over 2, I can feel it, 5 may be "treated" in the eyes of the medical field, but it doesn't work for me, that's averaging some disturbance every 12 minutes, all night long *blech*nanwilson wrote: as long as you can stay below five you will be good.

Re: Perfection
Remember the Red Ryder comic strip?
That had to be one of the early comic/commercial tie-ins.

Re: Perfection
I got mine when I was about 5. I don't know what happened to it. Wish I still had that original one. But, I've acquired a number of others in the last several decades......the 50th anniversary edition, the 60th, the 70th and a Ducks Unlimited edition.chunkyfrog wrote:Remember the Red Ryder comic strip?
