Increase AHI
Increase AHI
My heart was racing when I went to bed last night, I put on my CPAP and though it will slow down. Woke up about 3 heart racing, could not go back to sleep. When I turn the CPAP off my AHI show 14.9, they are usually 2.9. Why did my heart rate affect my AHI?
Re: Increase AHI
When you woke up at 3 and couldn't go back to sleep you may have generated lots of CAs...Clear airway apneas. Also, increased heartrate can affect breathing patterns. Do you track your therapy with sleepyhead?

Re: Increase AHI
No I don't have a computer at home to use Sleepyhead on. I have the card down loaded at local sleep center. I just see some info on the display on my machine.
Re: Increase AHI
Any chance at all you ate something new or took some meds (like thyroid pills) near bedtime that might have had an effect?
Re: Increase AHI
Only have water to drink after I get off from work, ate lunch at 1:30, only take Provigil in am. Bedtime is 10:00.
Re: Increase AHI
Well then, don't sweat one night... if it becomes consistent then worry, and let us know, but hopefully it was just one time.
