Goodbye Remstar Plus.....

Post by sarnadle_vector » Fri Jul 07, 2006 11:17 am

Thought this was interesting.....

"The most popular sleep apnea system, prescribed by pulmonary doctors and sleep clinics, has been the Respironics Remstar Plus. This standard cpap system has stood the test of time, and has become an icon in the CPAP business........ With the recent release of Respironics M-Series line of compact CPAP systems, the days of the "Remstar Plus" will soon fade."

that's B.S. and will be dealt with accordingly... Trust me.

Note there is no name given from Respironics and the ISSUER was not Respironics Marketing Communications.

Thanks for the heads-up.

How is that BS? This is how everything happens. New model comes out and old model gets discontinued. How do you NOT understand that?

Maybe you're not reading it correctly. It's saying Remstar Plus is going bye bye. It's NOT saying Remstar Plus M Series is going bye bye. Maybe you're hoping the older version will stick around. I think it'll be available as long as the older units are still sitting on shelves someplace. But will they keep the older (supposedly more inferior) technology around? Just for fun? Probably not. The M Series is the "Remstar Plus" now.

Um, the last paragraph kind of gives it away as not being official...

It may be a fake release but like any other product on the market they will always "new and improve" it thus causing you to need to buy the latest and greatest with all the bells and whistles.

Does someone really not think they're going to discontinue the older model? And if so, why not?

Rastaman

I believe the article was "advertising"......wrapped in wording to make it LOOK like a news article.

thanks Wulf,,,but it still misrepresents the manufacturer regardless and is probably actionable.

Now I'm curious.....

What type of "action" and on which party?.....PRLEAP.COM or YOUNEEDSLEEP.COM....or both?

There's a disclaimer just below the article:

"PR Leap disclaims any content found in these press releases.
Issuers of press releases are solely responsible for the accuracy of their content."

I'm not arguing with you.....just wondering.
