Progress

Post by shadowfx78 » Fri Nov 13, 2015 2:56 pm

Since starting CPAP therapy my AHI has greatly decreased im currently at 1.56. I have learned a lot from the program and will continue to look at my data. I have been having problems with large leaks so im going to try to work on that by using a padacheek mask liner.

Note that large leaks can effect the results and if you are having a lot of them, the AHI reading you are getting might not be accurate.
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM

Good luck on tackling those leaks.

Pugsy has a lot of interesting knowledge on leaks rates for various machines and masks. Go to her member page, click 'search user posts' and type in 'large leaks'. It's a must for anybody with this problem.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I never thought to check Pugsy's posts she certainly is a fountain of knowledge. Pugsy if you read this post thanks for your knowledge it has helped immensely. I just learned my big leaks are not necessarily that bad. Now i feel better.
