- Review all medicines, vitamins and supplements you are taking to make sure none are interfering with sleep
- Optimize emotional stress in your life- Use CPAP software to make sure your therapy is optimized
- If you still don't feel or sleep well, make sure you have regular medical checkups to confirm there are no other medical problems.
brings to mind the words of a master from a thread which should be reviewed now and then

That's a good list that addresses probably 80+% of non-breathing-disordered sleep issues. That last point in the list brings it up close to 90% if your doctors are good and thorough at diagnosis of health conditions.

What I would add to the list is sleep environment - dark, quiet, comfortable bedroom. But maybe that is already covered in the list's first point.

Yes, this is so easy to forget. CPAP fixes breathing and nothing more. Jay, thanks for the reminder.

hmmm I don't know... breathing with the mask is easier. Once I take it off, I almost immediately get some sort of congestion or running nose. Go figure.

YOU CAN'T FIX BAD SLEEP WITH A CPAP MACHINE!!!
A CPAP MACHINE MAKES BAD SLEEP WORSE!!!
I think "it depends"........
Like on what's causing the "bad sleep".

But, an "improperly" configured CPAP/APAP/BiLevel machine can sure make bad sleep (or even "good" sleep) worse.

Also, as was alluded to, this therapy is mainly about "breathing".......while you're sleeping.
Hopefully, with a properly configured machine and good fitting mask, the good breathing will then lead to good sleep.
