What do you mean by "drying out"?

The best and easiest way to check this is to note the level of water in the chamber when you go to bed. Then check the level when you get up to see how much water the system put into the CPAP loop overnight.

I would not trust an inspection done by a DME.

What is drying out? Nose? Mouth?
What setting do you use on the humidifier?
What pressure do you usually use?

The only thing really new in the nasal pillow mask area that might compete with the P10 might be the new DreamWear by Respironics and it isn't a nasal pillow mask but instead uses a cradle cushion.
Current discussion about it is on the main page of the forum.
It's very new so reviews are just coming in. I have had mine for 6 nights now. It's a nice mask but it isn't going to replace my P10.

Depending on what is "drying out" I am concerned that could happen no matter what mask you are using.

While I'm still a P10 fan, the new DreamWear nasal pillow (tray?) is very nice. Instead of inserting prongs in the nasal passages for air delivery, this unit provides a tray that seals around the bottom of the nose. The supply connector swivels and is a located on top of the headgear. Air is supplied to the nose via hollow headgear straps. I'm currently bouncing between the DreamWear and the P10 and liking both.

I hope this may help.

Mouth is drying out really bad . Don't think I'm mouth breathing and my wife says she hadn't seen me mouth breathe at all..guess I'll stick with the surfeit p-10 but may look at reviews on swift fx nano .. I think it's a device that covers the entire nose..
Wonder if that may stop some nasal irritation from the pillows on the edge of my nostrils
Thanks for all help and anyone who uses swift fx please give feed back

Mouth breathing is the first suspect when it comes to dry mouth.
Of course there are other possible causes but we usually have to think of mouth breathing first.
Now it doesn't take much mouth breathing to dry out the mouth....so it doesn't always mean that you are losing all your therapy pressure out your mouth so it would be a good idea to verify with your software reports what the leaks look like.

I know that I mouth breathe sometimes and I might wake up in the middle of the night with horrible dry mouth but when I look at the leak reports for that time frame I will see evidence of larger leak from the mouth breathing for maybe as little as 5 or 10 minutes before I woke up. So look at your leak reports and make sure that if there is any evidence of mouth breathing leaks (yes, they will show up as leaks) that your therapy for the bulk of the night isn't seriously compromised.

The Swift FX Nano...I actually did try it and so far it's the only over the nose cushion mask that I liked well enough to keep it. Side benefit is that the Swift FX nasal pillows will fit on the headgear for the Nano.
I even used the Nano cushion with the Bella Loops (the over the ear things) and it was a definite success.
If the Nano looks interesting to you then by all means try it. It's a nice little mask.
