Help understanding SpO2 graph

Post by PollyErrington » Thu Oct 15, 2015 3:00 am

Hi,
I've been recording my breathing noises while sleeping since January. I regularly gasp, snort and cough and I also toss and turn a lot (every 10-15 mins)

I used a SpO2 monitor for the first time last night. Ironically it was the best night's sleep I've had in ages.

I'm being sent for a sleep study (but it's a 1 year waiting list)

Does this graph look anything like it should for sleep apnea?

Could someone please have a look at my graph and tell me their thoughts? I'm completely clueless! Image

Thanks in advance!!!

Pulse and O2 look completely normal to me...With SA your O2 levels often drop below the 88 line...sometime far below.

The O2 and pulse recorded above isn't very remarkable.
Now that doesn't always mean that there isn't any sleep apnea though because a person can have sleep apnea or some time of sleep disordered breathing and the desats not be all that remarkable.
One of those situations where a negative result doesn't necessarily mean no problem.
Also if this was a relatively "good" night...a "bad" night may show something a little different.
