Advise Needed on Nasal Dilators

Post by LadyK » Fri Aug 21, 2015 4:37 pm

Hello all,

I use nasal pillows which I love however, my nostril's are two different sizes, small and extra small. I have to use small pillows but my extra small nostril stays irritated. I was looking at nasal dilators and I can't decide which dilators would work best with CPAP so I decided to asked the experts. Any advise or testimonials would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't think they worked that way.
Have you tried the Respironics Nuance Pro?
The pillows are very soft (with gel), and don't go up into the nose as much as most others.

What "dilators" are you thinking about?
Are you wanting something to make the smaller nostril bigger...that's what I think of when I think "dilator" or were you just wanting ideas on maybe different nasal pillow mask?

Now I don't know if it would interest you but the nasal pillows on the Tap Pap nasal pillow mask are individual and not tied together...so you can use one size in one nostril and another size in the other nostril.

I use these nasal dilators every night with great success... they are called SnorePins, available on Amazon. I don't see how they could possibly work with nasal pillows of any type and have never heard of anybody even trying. Naturally I use a full face mask. They will work with a Wisp type mask.

The red lines are where I trim them back with a razor knife... they tend to come a little long for me. PM me for other tips on using them

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Those look like something one could wake up with; having passed out drunk in the company of pranksters.

Or a birth control device inserted in the wrong orifice.

Although, I can actually see how that might be effective . . .
