Excessive saliva on Resmed Airsense 10

Post by gnvsan » Mon Aug 17, 2015 1:10 pm

I'm using a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset wih humidifier, heated tubing and nasal pillow mask. I've been using it for several weeks now but I don't think I'm getting long sleep with it. I still wake up in the middle of the night. Recently, I seem to have excessive saliva that I wake up after just about 2-3 hours of sleep. Is excessive saliva caused by something from the machine and can be adjusted? Should I manually set the humidity level? What is the suggested level as well as the temperature? Appreciate any advice. Thanks

I've never had this issue, so I will just bump you to the top, so others can see this.

I drooled a lot when I started with mine, but it went away after a while. I use a full face mask. You might try a different mask.

As for waking up after 2-3 hours, is your machine set to a range of pressures (APAP), or a single pressure (CPAP)? Mine was on APAP at first, and it woke me up when it auto-adjusted. I finally got annoyed and set it to CPAP at the highest pressure, and was able to sleep through the night. It might be worth a try.

I don't always walk around the house in socks, but when I do, I find all the wet spots on the floor.
