Re: how many resmed machines
That would be a good question for a survey--What kind of machine does everyone have. A LOT of us have Resmed machines. I previously had a Phillips Respironics System One Autoset and now have a Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset for Her. The machines are not significantly different (IMO) but i think I am getting better therapy on the Resmed machine and I think that my required pressures are lower than on the PR machine, although I have used an APAP range of 10-20 on both. There are a few other manufacturers of PAP equipment but Rescan and Phillips Respironics are the two big ones.

That would be good another useless meaning less poll. It would really help our treatment, how? Just another typical poll, x sells more XPAP than Y, marketing be dammed, just a popularity contest, posted by units in use, not that they give the best treatment. What's best it what's best for you, not others. It doesn't mean you know what's better, it just means you don't have anything to do. Jim
Use data to optimize your xPAP treatment!

Re: how many resmed machines
Well, it would be interesting to see how many people here use various machines, especially ones that are NOT Resmed or PR. Not that I'm setting up any polls, LOL ........Goofproof wrote:That would be good another useless meaning less poll. It would really help our treatment, how? Everyone's machine is listed on the bottom of their post...if they are a registered member...just like yours. .....Hey...here's an idea...lets start a poll to see what brand of car everyone drives.MarylandCPAPer wrote:Well, it would be interesting to see how many people here use various machines, especially ones that are NOT Resmed or PR. Re: how many resmed machines
You can get an approximation of this data by going to the cpap.com web site and looking at the information for each of the various machines that they sell. The web site reports the percentage of sales that any particular machine represents (although the data might not be reported for all machines). For example, for the Resmed Airsense Autoset 10 it reports that "23% of AutoCPAP Machine product buyers choose this product." For the Z1 auto travel, it's 6% of sales.MarylandCPAPer wrote:Well, it would be interesting to see how many people here use various machines, especially ones that are NOT Resmed or PR. There are assumptions in using the data this way, but you also will not get accurate information from an online poll.
If I had to guess, I'd say that a large majority of the users on this board use either a Philips-Respironics or a Resmed machine and that the split between these two is between 50-50 and 40-60(Resmed).
Keep in mind that most xpap patients have little or no say in the first machine that they get. They take what they are given by their DME and the DME's choice normally is driven by the profit to be earned rather than the quality of the machine. For replacement machines, many patients may be more proactive in selection of the machine they want. Members of this forum are NOT typical xpap users.
I'm workin' on it.

Or, maybe one on our favorite breakfast cereal, so we can find the best one to treat Sleep apnea. The only good thing about Polls, they tend to give dancers something to hang on to. I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Why would better writing and punctuation help his sleep apnea or get his question answered? Maybe he chooses to not use punctuation.
I use a Resmed machine.

Re: how many resmed machines
I kind of got the idea the OP likes the new ResMed machine, and was wondering if anyone else is as impressed with theirs.
-----Oh, heck yes.
