mask causing sores

Post by to-many-conditions » Thu Aug 13, 2015 1:56 pm

ive been a cpap user 5 years nothing new

my machine was broke 3 years a nightmare

finally got my new one wow what a difference night and day and helps my other disorders

but last year end or 2014 i had a 4th sleep study done i wear a fit life fireman's looking thing

but they ramped my pressure up to 19 now its tearing the back of my head up i have used

wash cloths trying to pad it the mask the new place gave me dont fit with wash cloths

plus wash cloths dont work still get sore spots just takes longer one they cant fix is im

claustrophobic wasn't a problem before but now the mask is so tight not even a finger wont fit between

it it clamps to my face instantly no time to move or anything just boom going to take a while to get used to

that last night i had a new one i got woke up but a huge sound of rushing air checking all over i finally

found a pinky size hole in my hose by my mask i didnt want to get up so i grabbed the first aid tape by

my recliner lol i cant sleep in a bed

Pad a Cheek makes products for cpap comfort.

Strap covers, and mask liners of soft fleece. Washable and reusable, too.
Karen uses cpap, like us, and knows what works.
The headgear comes in two sizes.
The DME may have sold you the wrong size, but they will probably deny it.

I use the Fitlife Total mask and the Resmed F10. The wife prefers the F10, because the vent is quieter. I have the strap cushions and I think the same cushion fits both masks. The Fitlife Total mask should not be that tight. It should " float" on your face. When I start the machine up, the mask will slightly "lift "on your face.
