new to Bipap

Post by quackers98 » Thu Aug 06, 2015 3:11 pm

I have used a Cpap for years, and now a Bipap. I'm going crazy trying to get this thing set right. Driving myself and husband crazy. My Epap is set on 9 and Ipap is 13 My Ipap is not long enough for my inhaling.,. The start and stop of machine is keeping hubby awake. Am I doing someething wrong??????Haven't used it a full night yet. Actually about 30 minutes max so far.

Exactly which brand/model bilevel device are you using?
BiPap is trademark name for the Respironics bilevel device.
If that is what you are using there are some settings that might help depending on which model you are using and the settings already.

ResMed calls their bilevel devices something else.

So which brand? Each brand as something that is a little different that might help the inhale/exhale timing issues.

It would help if you told us what type of machine you are using besides just a bipap. Are you using software to monitor you therapy?

More information please.

I am not familiar with that brand at all. So sorry.
You might play with the rise time and see if a different setting helps or hurts things.
