So I've have my CPAP for about 2 weeks now. I don't know if I'm just getting used to the pressure or something but I swear I've woken up thinking it was off.
Of course once I break the seal of the mask it leaks like crazy, so it is working. But I don't notice the pressure at all.
Ever wake up and think it's not working?

Your body adapts to many changes, it's life. Smell something, your body accepts it. That's how it works. Jim

What are your set pressures? Do you use SleepyHead to track overnight progress? Do you feel better or not?
Re: Ever wake up and think it's not working?
YES, especially with my M-Series. It would sync with me really close to the point where I would wake up and think the machine was off. I'd have to put my had up in front of the mask to see it was still blowing. Happened all the time. My newer S9 does it too just not as often or I no longer notice it.Ever wake up and think it's not working?

Happened to me too. Unfortunately, it varies by the mask. I had to switch from the Airfit P10 (mostly silent) to the Sleepweaver and the mask wakes me up. Oh well. Maybe when I get it adjusted better it will be quiet.oceanthrsty wrote:So I've have my CPAP for about 2 weeks now. Hey Julie,Julie wrote:What are your set pressures? Do you use SleepyHead to track overnight progress? Do you feel better or not?
I'm at 13mm. I have SleepyHead. I don't load the data every day. For the most part, from what I can tell, the data seems to be pretty good. Working on adjusting my mask to prevent a couple large leaks. But for the most part my AHI is below 1 and the other data looks good.
I will say, based on the data, the sleep I am getting is much better. But I'm trying to figure out if I'm tossing and turning more since I'm wearing the mask.
So I'm not sure if I'm feeling much better. But perhaps a bit.
The first time I thought it was off, I actually turned the machine off. Obviously now I just break the seal on the mask and hear the air. It's interesting how your body gets used to it.
