Back surgery and 3rd SS

Post by n0hardmask » Fri Jun 26, 2015 9:51 am

...jut a bit more on my recovery from 3rd sleep study (SS) in May and 1 June back surgery (spinal fusion L4/L5).
Good results on back surgery (2nd in 1 year); Doc pleased at 2-weeek checkup. Unfortunately the total disruption of my schedule of being in hospital 3 days and nights has left me with bad insomnia.

I finally actually got copy of (SS). I got a call from my local xPAP supplier, saying Dr had sent an RX for an APAP. I told them to keep it on file; and asked if I could get copies of the reports.
SS Baseline= severe OSA and CSA. AHI 69. PLM index 34. Severerely disrupted sleep architecture. 54% awake, 70% of sleep in stage 1, 30% in 2; no delta or REM. 54 sleep stage shifts over 2hr, 40min.
Titration 5:33 hr 71% sleep, 29% awake- still lousy. 200 sleep stage shifts w/ no Delta or REM. His RX 8-14 cm APAP.

So i'm getting much better leak control with the Quattro with the SleepWeaver Anew and alternate backup FitLife.

As always, thanks for the support of you board members. earl

I'm glad CPAPtalk was able to help you. I hope your recovery is a complete success and you get the sleep you need. Rock on Texas

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
