Where is Robysue?
Where is Robysue?
Has anyone talked to her lately? She hasn't been on here in weeks. With everything that has been going on, I need her advice.

Re: Where is Robysue?
What advice are you missing that you haven't already had from so many here? How many more hands do you need to hold before just getting on with what hundreds of us in the forum (going back over years) and thousands out 'there' do every night? One step at a time, get the mask on, hit the start button and go to sleep. What happens or doesn't happen in the lab will happen or not happen, and the results, good or bad, will be given to you when the time comes, and you'll fit them into the process you've been on all this time. You're not a baby, are you? Why do you need such endless, infinite support from so many? Answers will come when it's time and Roby Sue or anyone else cannot change that.

Because she knows her stuff. She said that if I had the mask put on me, then that is evidence I have OSA. And now we're going back to diagnostic tests again. We're doing home tests, we're going back to the lab. Why do u act like this is easy and how it's supposed to be? I need her support.

Re: Where is Robysue?
You have gotten good advise from at least a dozen people...from what I have read, you still have not tried any of it. In my opinion, you are a 30 year old that can't make decisions for yourself and are looking for others to make them for you......that way if something doesn't work, you have someone to blame.

A lot of the advice is conflicting. I'm not trying to blame anyone.

RobySue has not logged into the forum for 9 days. Obviously she is not available. Like most people she doesn't spend 100% of their time on the support forum and have their own lives to live.

I wonder if she gets my Private messages in her email? I am concerned for her too. Does anyone know how to get a hold of her?Krelvin wrote:RobySue has not logged into the forum for 9 days. Re: Where is Robysue?
What advice from the forum is conflicting?
You have put way too much stock in 1-2 comments made by a lab tech who has no legal standing to diagnose you, never mind make offhand comments he probably had no idea you were taking as written in stone. Another tech or doctor's office employee said something else one day and you're again 'conflicted' by things... but you've chosen to be upset by those things, to put far, far more weight and meaning in them that I'm sure was ever intended. Yes you've had a confusing time with lab appts and a incommunicative doctor... but not only should you have results (which we'd be happy to help you sort out) by now - tho' seem reluctant to actually go and get them even tho' they're yours by law - you also now have equipment to test yourself with, again with all the experienced help you could want, from the forum.
Whether or not the lab tests were messed up - in real life stuff does happen and we need to go with the flow sometimes until it gets straightened out - you need to take some control yourself. GO to your MD's office and demand your results. Go home and read your manuals re machine & mask and then USE them, letting us know in the a.m. how things went.
Roby Sue (or anyone else) cannot do those things for you and would not I'm sure. You really are coming across like a severely emotionally immature person who refuses responsibility for his own welfare and is depending on strangers to do it all for him, highly unfair on your part for one, and so not helping you to become an adult who takes care of himself and will therefore get the respect he needs. You've done so little in the end for yourself here - not even reading or digesting the hundreds of notes on OSA/Cpap others have written on every conceivable feature of things, but instead keep pounding and pounding on a few who have so bent over backward to help, with only a note or two of thanks that I've seen in all this time.
Roby Sue has her own problems and life, and owes you absolutely nothing. She's not your mother or in any way responsible for you. She's given her portion of help here, but you must stop demanding so much - don't you have any self respect?
The word "help" means just that - assistance, not 'doing it all for you'. We're trying to help, but you must show some sign of effort yourself or we'll stop caring. We aren't going to carry you forever, and can't wait to see the adult Enchanter show up.

Re: Where is Robysue?
Not yet. Still have to figure it out. But shouldn't I wait to see if I have sleep apnea? So many things are up in the air.Cardsfan wrote:Just curious, have you been able to use the machine Postitnote sent to you?

Re: Where is Robysue?
If you use the machine and feel better as a result, then you can say you probably have apnea. Using it won't hurt you at all - my cat or a 2 yr old could use it with no ill effects... it's just room air!
Re: Where is Robysue?
when you go to take the test, you will be used to sleeping with a mask on if you start now.

Re: Where is Robysue?
That would be too much like easy... like rational...
