Specialty Mask
Specialty Mask
Is anyone using (or has anyone used) the Resmed Liberty full face mask? It is an oral mask plus nasal pillows.

Re: Specialty Mask
I believe the mirage liberty ff would be a good mask to try. It has a good seal and is good for side sleeper or back sleeper. It comes in two sizes, small and large. Both sizes come with all three sets of nasal pillows. Let me know if you try the mirage liberty ff mask.
Re: Specialty Mask
It is an interesting concept for a mask. Not strictly speaking an oral mask in that the mouth area is covered externally but does not have a part that enters the mouth. That combined with the nasal part makes for a mask that is classified as a FFM.
Looks as if folks with claustrophobia issues might well be able to tolerate this mask.

Re: Specialty Mask
I tried the mask early on, but since I have a deviated septum, my leak rates were thru the roof. I ended up sending it to a fellow forum member to try it out... years back. It would be a good mask for someone who could not keep their mouth closed at night.

Re: Specialty Mask
I have also tried the Liberty and ended up selling it to to somebody cheap after I tried it but could not wear it because it would not seal around my chin area. The Innomed Hybrid works better for me. It is same concept, but a different manufacturer, & it just fits me better. I normally use Swift FX or another nasal pillow mask, & just have the Innomed for colds and sinus infections when I can't clear my nose enough with Afrin or for when I manage to not use Afrin. I try to avoid Afrin use because I have been addicted to it twice before and it is really hard for me to kick the Afrin habit, so sometimes when I get a cold, if I can stop myself from using Afrin, I use my Innomed Hybrid. Thank God I don't get as many colds and sinus infections now that I am getting quality sleep at night with my APAP. My immune system works so much better since I started using CPAP. I haven't had a cold since about a month after I started CPAP- while I was still in the midst of sleep-debt.
