BiPAP Auto w/BiFlex

Post by dhsmith » Fri Jun 30, 2006 9:08 am

I was on the S8 for several weeks and then doc switched me over to BiPAP Auto w/BiFlex after reviewing the data.

Any words of wisdom, concerns, recommendations, good, bad, ugly about this machine?

There is a growing number of those machines being used by members of this forum. So far, I've heard nothing but high praise from them for that one.
I think your doc did well by you.

Best wishes,

After almost a year on a Pro 2 Bipap (14/17) I switched to the Bipap auto and found myself actually doing worse. Reviewing the data my pressures were all over the map during the night and my AHI numbers sky rocketed. It seems either I'm chasing the machine or it's chasing me... I'm not sure which it is. This is a considerable and interesting thread on this site about the Bipap auto software. I've read several postings of others experiencing the same issues. I reset it back to bipap mode and my AHI number dropped back to pre auto values.

found it to work wonderfully and very happy. Not sure about the settings, I was looking for a clinic book in order to understand it better. The DME is being difficult with the doctor and myself on this.
