Changing to new settings

Post by surf » Tue Jun 09, 2015 7:31 pm

I Have tried 4 - 14 (Mach org set to) 5 -14 no help, 6 - 13 still waking, meet with my Physician today, he said he really doesn't know much about it but is going to look into a course on the subject. The different support groups seem to know more than he admittedly does. I shall try 8 - 13 tonight.

Rick, If you look at your data you should be able to pick a lower pressure that makes sense. This is a better way to proceed than just stabbing at various pressures.

The upper number is not as critical and can be way above what you need but the lower number should be just under what you need all night. That information is available from your data pressure graphs.

Sorry but I am 1 week into using this CPAP mach and only a few days into trying to figure out what is what, including how to use this site. The Sleep Clinic tells me I need to talk to my Physician. The company I got the mach from tells me all the data is prescribed by my Physician. Today I meet with my Physician and he was honest and told me he really doesn't know anything about this. As far as he knows the Clinic sets the data the Equip. Company sets the mach to the parameters. Through another site I found SleepyHead and was able to download my card into there program but the graphs did not help my Physician. He could read the data but agreed that; as you say, ' stabbing at various pressures was all he could think of. I could attaché a graph but don't see how to on this site.

How to post your charts using Imgur (you don't need to sign up for Imgur to do this)

https://sleep.tnet.com/reference/tips/imgur

there are several pages on how to organize your charts etc...
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

well, since you've been cast adrift, as have so many, by the people that are SUPPOSED to help you, we'll come to the rescue.

https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize

read that page, and the two further pages that are linked after it.

also, read the first post in the announcements, pugsy tips and tricks for a lot of good info.

Which device do you have?

You've only had your device for 1 week and changed the settings three times? I'd suggest using the metrics to guide your decisions and giving a setting at least 30 days.

I've had mine for about 6 weeks and made a change at day 30. I read here to try using 95% of max pressure and that has worked well.

Keep at it. It's worth the effort!

I certainly wouldn't suggest going that long, but examining the data and reacting to it is critical.
