Thank you to all who posted replies to my earlier question. Your answers were very, very helpful.
I have a Resmed Airsense 10 machine and I am using an F 10 full face mask. If I do not use a mask liner, I get some leaks during the night, including some noisy ones. But the mask leak indicator on the machine indicates an acceptable leak level (smiley face).
When I use the Zzzz mask liners, i do not notice leaks during the night and do not have noisy leaks. But the machine indicates unacceptable leaks, displaying the frown face every time I use the mask liner.
Why is this happening? Why is the machine interpreting using the mask liner as leaking. Thanks SO much

Re: Mask leak indicator and mask liners
I've no idea, for me the liners solved the huge problem I had in the first months of cpap use. Do make sure you pull the edges of the Zzzz liner a tiny bit after you mask up, to be sure there isn't a crease in the fabric under the cushion that might contribute to leaking.
It could have something to do with mask fit. Did you adjust your straps differently when you started using the liners? If too tight or too loose, unacceptable leaking occurs and that little bit of fabric could make the difference. You could also try Pad-A-Cheek liners; they are made of a different material and styled differently, and might work better for you. I actually tried both the P-A-C and Zzzz liners; found the Zzzz liners more comfortable... we all have different sensitivities, especially on our faces and near our eyes.

Re: Mask leak indicator and mask liners
I have an idea. Some folks cannot wear mask liners because of the leak-rate. It seems to be a "hidden-secret" here. I love the comfort of the mask liners, but my leak rates are unacceptable. Do what Library Lady suggests. But, at the end of the day, You may not be able to wear liners.

Re: Mask leak indicator and mask liners
One night, when my leaks were horrible, I greased the edge of my cushion with Lansinoh.
Not only were my leaks nearly non-existent, my face was so soft where the lanolin soaked in.
This is messy, so not something to do every night.
A new or freshly cleaned cushion fits better than a funky one. (Unless it's covered with sheep grease.)
