Advise on travel CPAP

I will be going on a cruise in October. I am looking into either purchasing a HumidAire 2i Resmed heated humidifier for my Resmed S7 elite or purchasing the Puritian Bennett Goodnight 420G CPAP with the H20 humidifier.
I presently use at home a F&P HC150 humidifier. I am looking for what would be more useable for ease of travel. ie: for setup, weight to carry and packing.
Your help would be appreciated.

Personally, I like to just grab my machine and go when it comes to travel. A few nights without the humidifier (esp. in summer or a warm climate) is perfectly tolerable for me. I have been using the ResMed HumidAire for a year and a half now and I think it's great. I never get any rainout or have any problems with it. It's also small enough to fit in the travel bag that came with my ResMed S6 so that's a nice feature as well that it's compact.

I have the Puritan Bennett 420G and have traveled with it several times. It's fairly light, and I can fit my mask and extension cord in the side pouch of the bag. Just be sure if you take the humidifier that it's dry when you pack it. I've never had any issues personally, but I've read some posts of machines getting damaged by water getting into them from the humidifier during travel.

As WindFlyer indicated you also might be able to go without the humidification. I only use mine for passover humidity anyway, so I'm going to experiment without it on my next trip.

Although it's a bit of an additional expense, I've already taken my BreatheX on a couple trips, one international. It's worked just fine......and no problems at the airport security checks. The charger adjusts to the local electrical supply for recharging during the day. It's fairly light to carry. And you can easily adapt it to work with a passover humidifier. I've removed the passover from my Respironics APAP and had no problems...just a little less humidity due to lack of heatimg. I'm used to a few nites w/o humidity anyway.
