Well, it's official - I was diagnosed a few weeks ago. Started reading all through this forum while I was going through the 5 stages:
1. Surprise
2. Denial
3. Denial
4. Acceptance (but maybe the doc got it wrong...)
5. Oh, ok, fine. Acceptance.
Feelin' a lot better about it all. Got the machine today - ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset. Fancy little machine! Anyway, I'm one of those guys that love data and all the information I can get it. So, my question is, are there any apps or software I can get to view how I am sleeping, how my machine is working etc?
Let me stress that I'm no longer doubting my diagnosis. This isn't an attempt to prove the doc wrong or anything like that. I would just like to satisfy an inquisitive mind.
New to all this - Apps that are compatible with machines?

I think everything has to go off of the SD card in the machine - you can put it in your computer, load an application called Sleepyhead, and analyze to your heart's content. You'll hear from lots of people who know more about it than I.

sleepyhead, get it, love it, see below.
and, if you have to ask that question, you haven't been reading enough here since it's mentioned all the time, and it's covered in the first post up there in the announcements.

FWIW, you can also register your machine on the ResMed MyAir website. Once registered, it will show you some very rudimentary information, but one of them is events per hour, which is at least something.
This is all I've been looking at since getting my machine last week because I don't want to have to deal with removing the SD card, downloading SleepyHead and analyzing all that data. (Of course, if something looks amiss on the MyAir website, I'll probably break down and do that, but so far my events per hour have been under 1 every night.)

You can get your AHI and all the same data that you get from MyAir right from the sleep report on the screen of your machine.......it just has to be set to Essential "Plus" in the clinicians menu.......MyAir is superfluous.Renee784 wrote:FWIW, you can also register your machine on the ResMed MyAir website.
