First night SleepyHead data - can anyone help?

Okay, I finally got the data capable machine, and SleepyHead. When I first put my SD card in, SH told me my machine wasn't data capable and wouldn't show all info, or something?? Not sure what that was about. But it is showing me stuff.....I'm just not sure what all of it means, and I'm also not sure about which settings I need to use so that my graphs look like they are supposed to.

This is what I have so far. I think the large leak must have been before I woke up with my mouth BONE dry. Also, the power went out at some point during the night, not sure what that may have affected. Also interesting to note is that during my sleep study my AHI was zero. So....does that mean that whatever issues I have at night are actually getting worse??



Thoughts? Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

OP is using Windows 7...so the Sleepyhead version I assume was the Windows version showing on the SH report 0.9.8-1.
I have no idea what happened with SleepyHead but looks like something broke.

In the meantime while you guys who know more about SleepyHead when it acts up, than I do.
I will supply Encore software to get her started while we sort the Sleepyhead issues out.

My first thought...remove SH and start all over again. I have never seen SH act up this badly.

View the report on your screen and use the up/down arrows at the top to go from page to page. You want to go to the Daily Details page for last night.

You can then take a screenshot of that report by going to Windows->Accessories->Snipping Tool. Then you need to upload that screenshot to a file hosting service as described in the posts at the top of the forum. Finally, you can post a link to the file that you uploaded using the Img tag at the top of the window where you type in your message. Whew! That's a lot of steps for people who aren't used to doing computer stuff.

I agree with sleepdisturbed that your safest option at this point is to just get a new sd card. They are cheap at walmart and many other places - $5 - $8. 2 GB is probably enough but it doesn't matter if it's bigger and most places will only have from 4 or 8 GB up these days.

Are you using the same SD card from your earlier machine?

Yeah, they stuck the same one in the new machine.

Then my guess is that when the SD card was used in your first brick machine some sort of header information was written to it that was retained when they moved it to the new machine. That residual ID information was probably what Sleepyhead read and interpreted to mean that it was a brick.

That misidentified machine type might also explain the scrambled data display in Sleepyhead.

I would put a brand new SD card into your new machine, let it format it, use it tonight, then try importing the data into Sleepyhead tomorrow.

You could also reformat your existing SD card, but that would erase all info, even usage hours from your old machine. I don't know your insurance situation, but you might need that info for compliance purposes. So I would suggest a new SD card. If you don't have an extra, you can pick one up at walmart or best buy or something. Any brand will work. They are not expensive, 2 gb size is plenty.

I agree about deleting the sleepyhead folder and unzipping it again to get a fresh start. It doesn't include and installer like most windows programs so it's just a matter of unzipping the files, changing to the directory and running the program. But please read the notes about windows prerequisites here: http://www.sleepfiles.com/SH2/#Windows-version-notes Your machine is supported and sleepyhead should work just fine for you, unless there's some problem with your windows installation.

Ah,that does make sense. I do think I need the data for compliance purposes. It's weird though that when I view the info on the actual machine, it says the card is 100% free. I guess they could have gotten the data from it yesterday and then wiped it clean - but then would that old header or whatever info have stayed on there?

I don't use Encore so I don't know how to interpret it, but I can tell that you had excessive leaking most of the time, and that will impact your therapy. I don't know anything about your mask either as I use a full-face mask. Hopefully someone will come along who can help you determine what's going on and what to do about the leaking... I don't know if mask liners can be used with the Wisp, which I think I remember is what you are using, but in many cases a liner can be used to minimize the effects of leaks.

I don't know, I am just guesstimating here. I can think of several ways they could have removed old data files but left behind some header files, but I have no way to know at this point.

Getting back to you , from what is on the report it looks pretty decent. Most important, did you get some good sleep? If you can learn to sleep with the alien strapped to your face, the numbers above would suggest that you would get effective treatment. However, you need to check over a period of weeks at least, to see how things are going!

You only had 5 minutes in large leak which was only 1% of the night. Probably slightly less than 1% so it rounded down to 0 for the internal display. It looks like you have a good mask fit.

I didn't see that. Can you point out the leaks? I read to indicate only 5 minutes in large leak land? Am I reading it wrong?
