Then my guess is that when the SD card was used in your first brick machine some sort of header information was written to it that was retained when they moved it to the new machine. That residual ID information was probably what Sleepyhead read and interpreted to mean that it was a brick.
That misidentified machine type might also explain the scrambled data display in Sleepyhead.
I would put a brand new SD card into your new machine, let it format it, use it tonight, then try importing the data into Sleepyhead tomorrow.
You could also reformat your existing SD card, but that would erase all info, even usage hours from your old machine. I don't know your insurance situation, but you might need that info for compliance purposes. So I would suggest a new SD card. If you don't have an extra, you can pick one up at walmart or best buy or something. Any brand will work. They are not expensive, 2 gb size is plenty.
